Virtual Exercising

So if you guys haven't joined the latest craze you should... The new craze is EXERCISING GAMES!!!
Presently I enjoy the Kinect and Wii and if you don't have one or both of these game systems you are missing out on some serious fun. For example on Wii which is an older system there are games like Just Dance 1,2, and 3. These games are not only fun and entertaining but a great workout. If you're not sweating you're not doing it right! Other fun games for wii are Dance for broadway and zumba. Games i highly recommend. There are also serious exercise games from Pilates to boot camps. That is not even including all the fun activities you can do with a wii fit, like yoga, and step aerobics.
For the kinect there is a few more interactive options. I'm going to warn you first. If you play kinect it is more than likely a better work out than wii. Some fun kinect games include Dance central 1, 2. Just dance 3, zumba, and michael jackson experience i highly recommend for xbox not wii. There is so many exercise games solely for the kinect that everyone will find something they love.
I kid you not i have burned more calories playing games than i actually have exercising. Just to make a point. So i hope instead of packing on the winter weight you exercise inside with a video game console.
I know this is random but

Book Review Thursdays - Doomed by Jayde Scott

So i finally had enough time this week to finish Doomed.I have to admit i liked this book a lot more than A job from hell. I don't know if Cass was just more likeable or her and Dallas's relationship was so unconventional i loved it. It was a very interesting story that involved dallas going to disneyland/hell. A game show featuring Amber the necromancer, and a whole lot of eagerness for the next book. The way this one ended left me in need for the next book. It is definitely a book people should be checking out.
On a side note I haven't found anything interesting to read lately. So if you have any suggestion please tell me before next BooK Review Thursday!!!

Rena Files

The time has come to share my excitement with you guys about a new series I've been writing along with Secrets. I have actually been working on the Rena Files for the 3 years and I have acutally written 2 of the 4 books in the series. The idea for the Rena Files actually came to me when i was 12 when i took my first attempts at writing. As you can imagine there wasn't much to it but i stilled loved the concept of having a detective series. Over the last 3 years i have reworked this story over and over again until I came with something I am actually happy with sharing. Rena hasn't changed much from the 12 year old version besides losing the popularity and the jock boyfriend. She still has the thirst to know the truth that i had always wanted her to have. Her friends did take quite the slashing in my multiple attempts of writing this. David and Caitlin ended up getting majorly altered in a way I had never considered until my final write up. Rena's clique was ultimately cut from my 12 year old version.
So maybe i should actually tell you about what this series is actually going to be about. Rena Solis is the main character, she is a girl with some inquisitive genes. Her parents happen to be detectives and Rena just happens to live in one of the most boring towns ever, meaning her parents are rarely around. She mostly lives with her Aunt Krystal. When the story starts you'll meet Rena and her two best friends, really her only friends, David and Caitlin. Rena has never really wanted to follow in her parents foot steps but when a Serial killer is after people in her high school, Rena can't help but fall into the case.
I hope you guys will be as supportive as you have been with the Secrets Trilogy.
Rena Files is due out in January of 2012. In the next coming weeks i should be posting the cover art for the first Rena book as well.
Peace and Love,
LL

Review Thursday

Honestly, I'm not finished reading the book I'm supposed to be reviewing today (only 90 pages to go) so I'll just tell you about something else I read recently. I'm a very dedicated reader and i have to admit if you haven't read this series you don't know how excellent and skilled a writer could be.
Kim Harrison's Hollows series is probably one of the best series I have ever read. So far there are 9 books in the series and I read them all this year. I finished the last one around June and I'm slowly dying waiting for the 10th one to come out in February.
The series is about a witch named Rachel Morgan, that gets into more trouble than you could possibly imagine. Between angry bosses, werewolves, manipulative elves, a vampire roommate, and a conniving ex boyfriend. Rachel is always running or fighting someone usually with the help of Living vampire Ivy, and always good for a laugh, Jinx (pixy). Rachel is one of the most interesting and well developed characters i've read about in a long time. The books are all fast paced and there is rarely a dull moment in all 9 books. The endings almost always leave you begging for more too.
I highly suggest everyone check it out. The first book is called Dead Witch Walking.

So i know youtube has led a revolution and it has created some pretty famous stars in the process i thought i'd introduce you to the people i'm loving on youtube and which video is a mustsee!
5. two chinese boys lip singing- i want it that way (its an oldie but a goodie!)
4 how to love- sam tsui (i think this just might be better than the original.)
3 connie talbot- someone like you (cutest kid and amazing singer)
2 nick pitera- a whole new world (bc who doesn't love a man who can change octaves faster than i can change the channel.)
1. jenna marbles- how to avoid people you don't want to talk to (see the sequel when the face doesn't work... i know it's not singing but it's hilarious)

Tell me what you think and if there are some i'm missing maybe i haven't watched it yet.

What I learned in New York

1. New York is frigid even in October.
2. Why on earth would people want to live in a city where ice hits you instead of rain?
3. Only visit when the sun wants to visit a.k.a summer.

On a much brighter note i did learn something about hockey maybe i can go to a game or two now that i live in a winter state :-( Besides having man down penalties and goals is there anything else i should know?
Don't forget to tune in for Music Tuesdays ;-)

Weekend Beat

This weekend is probably going to be the only weekend i escape the drudgery of working and school so let's hear it for being out of town! WOOHOO!!! Back to the point of the blog of course.... it's actually for once about my own writings.
I've recently finished up writing the 2nd Secret's book, Hidden, and i've been editing away and contemplating how i want to end the series. My idea so far has my boyfriend on the verge of killing me because he disagrees completely. So here's my question how important is a happy ending when you are finishing a series? Are unpredictable endings better than the usual happily ever after?
