This book review is a little late because i actually had to finish the book. Since the movie came out i've been dying to read these books and i finally got a chance. Today's review is the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I'm not going to lie i had no clue what to expect when i read the synopsis. I started the book and i was like wait why is everybody so in love with this book. I can barely stay interested long enough to read it. Then i got to around 60 pages and that turned around it was a lot more enticing to read and by 100 pages i was hooked but the best came around 300 pages. It had taken me a week to read the first 300 pages and 2 days to read the last 300 that's how much i did not want to put the book down. The story line follows multiple viewpoints but the people you really care about are Mikael Blomkvast and Lisbeth Salander. Mikael is a journalist who has just distroyed his career and is looking for a way to redeem himself. Lisbeth is an awkward girl with the socialability of a statue she is essentially who the book is named after and together they have to solve a forty year old mystery that brings up a lot of skeletons along with. After finishing i have to say it was a great book maybe it didn't have to be 600+ pages but it was worth the read. A big warning though. This book is very adult and graphic if you don't like that i suggest not reading the books and not seeing the movie.
TTFN,
