Sorry, guys I really wanted to write yesterday but this has been the most hectic week i have ever imagined. Today is book review thursdays and so as promised I'm reviewing a book. Usually i try to do reviews on relatively indie writers, but frankly i didn't get a chance. So I'm going to talk about one of my favorite authors. You may not know her but Louise Rennison may just be the funniest Brit in the world.I was first introduced to her while i was in high school and was devoted to her 10 book series about a teenage girl named Georgia Nicholson. If you don't believe it's hilarious let me just tell you some of the book titles, angus thongs and full frontal snogging, on the brightside i'm now the girlfriend of a sexgod, knocked out by my nunga nungas, and the list goes on and on.
Let's get back to the point this summer Louise Rennison came out with a new book series called Wuthering Tights. This book follows Talullah, Georgia's cousin, to her new school in the middle of nowhere. Tulullah starts at the school's summer program in the hopes of being accepted into the school. Due to her flaky parents, Lullah isn't able to live in the dorms but instead gets placed with a family in the neighboring town.
Tulullah makes friends at her all girls school and even makes some friends in town but when she meets Cain, trouble ensues. Lullah throughout the book has to determine her feelings for Cain, the bad boy and the much older, Bar owner's son. Talullah must also deal with her first kiss and the bat in the cave effect. This has to be one of the funniest books i have ever read. Rennison did not disappoint and had me laughing at the most inappropriate times. I am looking forward to the second one because i cannot get enough of Talullah and her insanely long legs.
